Joe's Story Old As Dirt....
Joe Fountain likes to joke that his slogan, “Old as Dirt” is a reference to his age. It is instead a testament to the 40+ years of expertise and experience in landscaping. Joe began his career in 1973 at the age of 16 while working for Harkey Nursery in Charlotte, NC. Since his time at the nursery, Joe also gained valuable experience as a past co-owner of Park Road Garden Center where they raised and sold plants in a retail operation. In 1983, Joe began Fountain Landscaping and has provided Charlotte with landscaping services ever since.
For the past 40 years, Fountain Landscaping has provided landscaping services to clients throughout the Charlotte area. Joe has become more than a landscaper to his clients, but a friend. Joe values long-term relationships with his clients and employees. He says, “My customers are my friends. I go to parties at their houses, I go to church with them. I want to be able to yell at them when they don’t water their plants.” Joe’s passion for landscaping and focus on client relationships is what has led to Fountain Landscaping’s success over the past 40 years.
